the carpal tunnel of love [chapter eleven]

(Chapter Eleven)
Audrey

I woke up in the arms of Brendon, who was fast asleep in the bed. I slowly got out of bed, trying not to wake him and walked over and put on a shirt that was lying on the floor. 'Just big enough to fit me' I thought. I saw a pair of boxers lying on the floor as well and put them on. I looked at the bunk adjacent to Brendon's and Pete was lying there, awake. "How long have you been lying there?" I asked. "Long enough," he smirked. I threw a pillow at him and he laughed. I tiptoed to the main area of the bus and Avery and Jon lie on the couch in each other's arms, just like a movie scene. 'Awwh, how cute' Marissa and Spencer lie on the floor next to each other and Sam and Ryan were lying on the table of the breakfast nook. I giggled slightly at the sight of so many stoned people.

"L-l-Lexi?" said Jon, trying hard to stifle a yawn. "Yes," I whispered. "Good morning," he said. "Good morning to you to," I replied. Sam started to wake up and so did Ryan. Avery just lay there, out cold in Jon's arms. Spencer and Marissa looked up to see what was going on then curled up together and went back to sleep. Brendon walked out of the bunk room in a pair of boxers and scratched his head of messy black hair. He grabbed me around the waist and stole a kiss from my lips. "Good morning, love," he said. "Good morning," I replied, placing a kiss on his cheek. Jon pushed Avery off his chest, got up and stretched.

"Man, last night was so much fun, you really should have been there," he said yawning and stretching out his arms. "I think we had more fun," Brendon said, winking at me and making me blush. Jon simply smiled and we knew he knew what Brendon meant. I walked over to the breakfast nook to find that Ryan and Sam had already made coffee and were drinking cups of their own. "There is some in the pot," Ryan said, gesturing to the pot. "Thanks for making it," I said looking around for the coffee mugs. "They are in that cabinet," Jon said pointing to a cabinet to my left. I reached for a mug and took it down. I got another for Brendon and I poured us some coffee. "Brendon, do you like anything in your coffee?" I asked grabbing for the milk I found in the fridge. "Yes, some sugar would be good," he replied winking and air-kissing me. My cheeks turned even redder because I knew the others were watching. I sat down and gave Brendon his cup and began to take a sip of mine.

Brendon's POV
Lexi's soft brown hair fell in her face as she took sips of the coffee. I took a swig of mine and put it down. "So, what did you guys do last night," Lexi asked. "Well first we got something to eat, and then we went drinking at this club," Sam said, "Pete was our designated driver, he didn't feel like drinking." "Cool," Lexi said. "So what did you do last night?" Ryan asked her. "We, uh, um," Lexi stuttered. "That's for us to know and you to never find out," I said, putting my arm around her. I could feel her heat rate beat faster and faster as I leaned closer towards her. Her eyes were a beautiful hazel brown with streaks of green.

I had never seen her eyes this up close before. I leaned in and kissed her on the lips and I couldn't forget the way she felt. Pete walked into the kitchen and greeted us a "Good Morning" and got himself a cup of coffee. He sat down next to me and said, "That band last night, I signed them, they are going to be then next best thing in music." Lexi nodded and said, "I've known them for a while and they have always wanted to play, so I'm glad you signed them." I pushed aside a strand of hair that was lying in her face and she smiled at me. "So, what are we doing today?" she asked. "Well I thought we could go shopping today, Lexi," Sam said.

"Ooh, that would be fun!!" Lexi uttered excitedly. I sighed slightly because I wanted to spend time with her today but she needed her space. "Do you want to come along too, Brendon?" she asked me, as if she could read my mind. I wanted to yell 'Yes, yes, yes!!!' but I didn't want to seem too excited so I said, "Sure, why not?" Lexi smiled and got up from the table and said, "Well I need to take a shower and get ready to go out so I will see you all later."

Lexi's POV
My heart pumped eagerly as I skipped to the showers. Spencer and Marissa were up, but they were sitting on the couch just looking at each other and Avery lay on the other couch like a rock. I rummaged in some of Brendon's things to find something to wear. I managed to find a tee with a Clandestine logo on it and a pair of jeans. Thank goodness Brendon was an apple-bottom and had to buy girl jeans I thought. I walked into the shower room and laid down the clothes and undressed. I turned on the shower and got in. I heard the door to the shower open and I turned around to find Brendon, in nothing but his natural self. He placed his arms around me and kissed me softly.

"I wanted to spend today with you," he whispered into my ear, "and I got my wish." I smiled a shy smile and said, "Will you wash my hair for me?" Brendon picked up the bottle of shampoo and massaged my head with the soapy residue. I rinsed it out of my hair and turned towards Brendon. I looked at his beautiful pale skin and just sighed to myself. He noticed I was staring at him and said, "Admiring my chiseled figure?" I laughed because he was the least thing but chiseled and said, "No, I was admiring your beautiful pale skin." His face turned a bright shade of magenta and said, "It can't be as beautiful as yours," since my skin was pale as well.

I blushed and kissed him on the cheek again. We got out of the shower and dried each other off. "I hope you don't mind but I borrowed some of your clothes, I'm so glad your apple-bottomed and have to wear girl jeans," I said motioning towards the pile of clothes I had set down. "That's okay and your lucky I'm apple-bottomed and have to wear girl jeans!" he replied, laughing at the apple-bottom comment. I smiled and put on the t-shirt and pulled on the pair of jeans. Brendon put on a hoodie and a pair of jeans. "Do you have a hair drier? I need to dry my hair," I asked feeling my wet hair. "Um, yeah, it's under the sink there," Brendon replied pointing to the sink. "Thanks!" I replied, walking over to the sink. "No problem," he said walking out the door. When I opened the doors under the sink, I found many letters addressed to a one "Audrey Kitching" lying next to the hair drier under a box of make-up that read "Brendon".
